I lie in bed at night
Wishing you were here
To hold me tight.

I feel so empty
I feel so alone
I only want to be in your arms.

I wish i could see you
If only for 5 minutes,
I long to hear your voice.

I want you here,
I need you here
Now and forever.

But instead I am left alone
Trapped in this hole
And missing you...

My heart aches even more

The void thats been missing
For some time now
That hasen't been filled
In a long time
But now that I'm with you
The void is no more
You make me feel so good

And the smile that plays on your lips
I miss fussing over your jumper, holding your hand and arguing over the colour of the sky

Wondering how things are going
Wondering how you are doing
Wishing I could be there by your side

I miss your voice
Which soothed me when I was scared
And shushed the rising of tears
When you told me you had to go

I miss your touch
Which held me tight through the night
Promising that you would never let go
When it was the last night before you went

I miss your eyes
Which held love only for me
Yet filled with unshed tears themselves
When you told me you loved me

I miss your ears
Which listened to every word I spoke
Held it dear like it was told by God
When we spoke for hours before you had

How you could always make me laugh.
I miss when you’d sing to me
Whenever I felt distressed.
It was always soothing.
Now I'm always wearing your shirts
For comfort I cannot have.
Your scent is no longer there.

lips parted in a tender smile
heart no longer aching
happiness has come for a little while

When my trance has ended
reality sneaks cruelly inside
words crashing down in a torrent
without you here I abide

your words and touch I need most
I breathe in the cold air around me
reality is my unwelcome host

No thoughts cloud my mind, it is a strange calm before a damaging storm
Something is coming, an emotion to dark to name, planting itself in my head
I am restless and cannot sit still
I feel as though I will explode if the darkness is not named
Wanting nothing more to sit in a corner wrapping my arms around my knees
This is the only way to contain the wake of it
Wake of what?
Scared I will hurt someone I lock myself away
The animal is coming
And it will destroy me

This is a poem I wrote for someone who wanted me to find them a romantic poem about missing someone, but devoid of the word love. I looked on the internet for one that I could give him but they didn't sound right so I decided to write one for him. *shurg*

Exactly how I feel right now. I'm here in MN and my boyfriend is in coast guard stationed in Cali and I haven't seen him since July. I miss him terribly and can't wait to see to him in June when I'm road trippin out there to see him.
